Oh how cute...it looks like this carnivorous plant seems to have taken a fascination to this little butterfly. Doesn't look like those mean knarly meat eating plants. He doesn't look like he would hurt anyone...right???

...well that poor little butterfly doesn't notice the stack of dead relatives and likely close friends on the floor next to him does he?

...that mean old plant!

Done over at conceptart for a contest. I've always wanted to do one of these plants. Good throw back to my older works also I thought. Hope you enjoy.

One texture used over at cgtextures.com . Great little site!

Done in photoshop cs2

Very nice color choices, I love the whole idea itself. :D

haha, he (kinda of a she also) makes me smile. yup, too geeky looking to be mean. Nothing personal. A plant's gotta eat.
Just enough color to make it pop. Very nice.

If you are not part of the solution...
You are part of the problem
Ohhh.... VERY 'vintage you' indeed! Nice detail with the wallpaper - you never were a sort to skimp on the backgrounds! And yeah.. you really did get 'friendly' across in an otherwise ' Feed me Seymour ' kind of predatory nature.

If you'd tilted the head a slight bit then the 'body language' would have been completely human for the circumstance...

Damn smart to put a pile of corpses behind the plant so 'quietly'... You really do go levels and levels into your artwork.. don't you?

If I had to live in a world filled with 'monsters' I hope to hell that they are the ones YOU create(d)....
